Exposing The Lies One Layer At A Time

Dr. Jackson Speaks On Human Evolution - And Shows What Little He Knows

Conversation With Dr. Jackson - June, 2016

Bill Ludlow Dr. Jackson, I would like to challenge you to defend your views on human evolution in a discussion via SKYPE or in a Google Hangout. I have watched a couple of your video presentations and discovered some glaring errors as well as misrepresentations of what scientists actually believe. Would you be up for such a challenge?

Creation Truth Foundation I would be up to it but much more happy to meet in person or to deal with these challenges in person and/or in public. Why. What did you have in mind?

Bill Ludlow I was invited by Larry Kisner Sr. and wanted to attend your recent lecture here in Tempe and planned on doing so, but an employee of mine called in that afternoon and I had to cover. Will you be returning to the Phoenix area anytime soon?

Creation Truth Foundation probably not for a while ... that was my first time at ASU ... I like face to face encounters ... in my experience, people usually get way off topic and call me cuss words on such forums ... if we could still to some topic I would be encouraged more about the challenge ... so what glaring errors and misrepresentations are you talking about ... I do my best not to do such things just because ... I want and am eager to earn t... the trust of the audience ... so whats the matter here as far as you're concerned?

Creation Truth Foundation Well you're already working from the premise that evolution is already proven by saying "what evolution tells us." Son, if it's not real it tells us as much as fairies do so ... is this just one more attempt to monopolize the time of someone who should really be out reaching the masses and is instead being asked to go into a corner and talk to people who have already made up their minds? So .. I repeat the question ... what's the problem you see? I did not misrepresent a single fossil nor the evolution theory position.

Bill Ludlow I agree people tend to get off topic. My recent discussion with Paul Humber of CR Ministries on the subject of dinosaurs coexisting with man went off on several rabbit trails. I believe you have misrepresented the interpretation of the hominin fossil record on several occasions, and your conclusion is not supported by the actual evidence.

Bill Ludlow For example, can you explain why you believe A. africanus was more "monkeylike" than A. afarensis?

Creation Truth Foundation because National Geographic in 1998 said so, and Lee Burger was interviewed by them and said so and ... Bill you really have not looked into this at all ... am I going to have to correct you on what you say that I said before we even get started? you said you saw my presentations ... you would know that I did not give my own opinion but that of the evolution-believing researchers. Come on. Don't be like that. You know why I said that ... shorter legs and longer arms than Lucy is more chimp like ... you know that. You must know that.

Bill Ludlow Actually I studied Human Origins under Donald Johanson via ASU and I'm a member of the Southwest Paleontological Society, as well as the Geological Society of America and the NCSE. I'm very familiar with the current evidence for hominin evolution and the timelines involved. A. africanus retained some features considered advantageous to arboreal species, but also had a larger and more rounded cranium and like A. afarensis it was bipedal. Both show transitions from our common ancestor with the other great apes.

Creation Truth Foundation Bill, even a member of a dozen evolutionary societies still has the onus on them to do their fact-checking before they accuse like this. I'm not impressed so far with you knowledge of the situation. Please read the article that came out at the time of the formative studies. I don't care about any opinions -- not even mine -- it's the facts about the fossils that matter -- not opinions. Please go do your reading and come back to me after that, Bill. Thanks, DrJ

Bill Ludlow Are you sure you could remain civil and not resort to ad hom attacks if we do have a recorded discussion? Is quote mining 18 year old articles your example of evidence for something? Have you actually compared the fossils? I can understand your unwillingness to debate me on this.

Bill Ludlow Chimps are not monkeys, for one thing. Pan troglodytes is not a member of the genus Macaca or the families Callitrichidae, Cebidae, Aotidae, Pitheciidae, or Atelidae. You should have corrected the young woman when she said they were more "monkeylike"instead of agreeing with her. Chimplike and monkeylike are not the same thing, and since both chimps and the human lineage evolved from a common ancestor we would expect to see various "chimplike" features in the early forms.

Bill Ludlow Well?

Dr. Jackson Finally Responds, But On A Different Topic

Creation Truth Foundation Listen Bill, I spent time on your campus and you never got the courage to say these things then. Why now? And you just make statements like "this is simply not true." Why should anyone believe you? Is it because ... you're you ... and by definition you are always right? Huh? Really Bill. Your straw man "challenges" are nothing more than efforts to make yourself sound smart. Bill, after only a few exchanges you have sadly failed to show that you are anything more than the sad stereotype of the self-appointed ego-driven "authoritiy" ... touting all of your so-called credentials, taking un-backed-up pot shots at those who disagree with you, while appealing only to the authority of ... well ... you. I consider you useless and yes that's just my opinion. Prove me wrong. Show us one ... just one proof of your precious religious belief in Darwin's folly being true. That would silence the ignorant, if you ... well, if you only could do that. I traveled to your city. Now if you want to "challenge" us ... why don't you travel here and we'll do this all in public. Believe me ... unlike your Lawrence Krauss who ran away from a debate with me ... I would run toward a debate with you. Come on down. Get your prize. Or ... dummy up. It's that simple. I already made a trip and did not see you. If you will come here to Oklahoma City, I think that a public debate can be easily arranged ... easily. Sincerely, Dr. Jackson

Bill Ludlow Discussions could easily be held and recorded via Skype. Lets embrace modern technology and both make our case the easiest way possible. I only hope you can remain civil. You asked for an example of a glaring error in your presentations and while there are many, here are two very obvious ones.

Your first glaring error in the ASU presentation is either deliberate, or you have literally no idea how to read a cladagram. You point to where the lines on the cladogram split, enhanced by circles, and claim there is nothing there to document the split. There are not supposed to be species listed where the lines split, that cladogram simply shows progression of the species as to what came before and after. Very misleading.

Here is a link where you can learn how to read and use a cladogram. The place where the line diverges from the main line is called an internal node.

https://nimravid.wordpress.com/.../understanding.../

I noticed in two separate presentations you talked about Cro-Magnon Man.

Here in your speech at ASU you mention it at 41:38.

"Cro-Magnons, they've just given up on that."

https://youtu.be/F67QfjLgM5o?t=41m38s

I believe you also claimed they have been reclassified. Do you have any evidence for your claim that paleoanthropologists have re-classified Cro-Magnon Man? It is my understanding they have always been classified as Homo sapiens. I have a textbook called Historical Geology written by Carl O. Dunbar originally published in 1915, and have provided an image from a page that demonstrates 100 years ago we were classifying them as Homo sapiens, and it even says they “clearly belong to the modern species Homo sapiens.” Please tell me when you feel they were “given up on” and why, as well as when you believe they were reclassified.

Please keep your responses civil and professional.

He then deleted his original post to me and my response.

I Tried Again.... I Should Have Known Better

More examples of either deliberate misrepresentation or ignorance of the facts from a member of Creation Truth Foundation, Dr. Thomas Sharp.

2:50 - The Geological Column is a collection of data and does not need to be viewed in its entirety anywhere in order to be a useful tool. Textbooks featuring the Geological Column don't claim otherwise.

3:30 - He claims the layers in the Grand Canyon are "all out of order" and that we find rock dated at 500,000 years old on top of rock dated 200,000 years old. This is simply not true. There are unconformities, but those are easily explained and there are no younger sedimentary rock layers found above older rock layers there.

Much of this presentation is using very old data. Was it maybe recorded a long time ago?

At 41:30 he finally gets around to giving what he considers evidence of dinosaurs living with man and he presents the carving of a rhino on a column at the ancient site of Göbekli Tepe in Cambodia. That's it? A carving of a rhino with a stylized background? Anyone could look at that carving next to a picture of a rhino and a stegosaurus and see it is clearly a rhino.

At 43:03 he claims "Every major civilization of the world has a legend of dinosaurs and the flood." That's a very interesting claim, but easily shown false.

He even claims dinosaurs were lizards. :(

I have challenged Dr. Glenn Jackson to discuss evidence for human evolution, and I would also like to challenge Dr. Thomas Sharp to discuss evidence for dinosaurs coexisting with man. Please let me know if either or both of you are up for this. We could easily do this via Skype or Google Hangout. You may contact me here on facebook or via email at bill@creationsciencefiction.com.

Creation Truth Foundation Look, Bubba Bill. I was -- on your campus -- last semester. Now that I'm hundreds of miles away -- suddenly you're all brave and big-mouthed! Let's do this in a public place, since I know you fear that kind of a thing. I came to your town. Now you come to mine near Oklahoma City and we'll do this. But you are wasting my time with your un-documented claims that "you know" of misrepresentations and science errors. You're just a big bag of hot air. Put it where your mouth is and get yourself over here and say these things in front of an audience and Dr. Sharp and I will knock you down to size. You are so brainwashed and adamant. Either come here or just go home and stay there. Yours. DrJ

Creation Truth Foundation Hey, that's the evolutionist-game I've faced in most debates so ... no. That's not our way. It's against our religion. I'm just mad now that you keep making unsubstantiated insults to us. You come to our FB page and just start up on us. Why. And as a matter of fact, I always ask for there to be a very very specific topic/title to any debate. And I am always always having to drag my opponent back to the topic he/she agreed upon before the debate. So absolutely! There would be no personal attacks, even if you make them to us. And sticking to the topic is way to our advantage, so why would I go against that? I wouldn't. Just call 1-888-57-TRUTH and set up the debate date with Bob Dugas or Matt Miles. Yours, DrJ

Bill Ludlow Dr. Jackson, I would respectfully ask you stop referring to me as "Bubba" and accusing me of making "unsubstantiated insults." I honestly don't believe I have said anything insulting, I have only pointed out errors in your presentations and when you asked me to clarify I responded with specific details. Your response was to delete both your comments and mine. If you think the claims I made above are unsubstantiated please provide the following:

1. Show why textbooks claim the geological column needs to exist in its entirety to be a useful tool for geologists and list the textbooks that claim it does exist in that manner.

2. Show why you believe the layers in the Grand Canyon are "all out of order" and name the specific layers you claim are 500,000 years old sitting on top of 200,000 year old layers.

3. Explain why you believe the rhino with a stylized background looks more like a stegosaurus than a rhino.

4. List some of the civilizations that have legends of "dinosaurs and the flood."

5. Give me just one scientific source that says dinosaurs are lizards.

I honestly didn't expect this type of response. Is there a way I can verify this is actually Dr. Charles Jackson? I gave you a detailed response to your claim that A. africanus was more "monkeylike" than A. afarensis a couple days ago and it was all deleted. Why? There were no insults or derogatory comments made by me.
